Grid Technique for Drawing

Student Photographer: Stephanie Shea

Saturday the 22nd of January, we had our second weekly class of art, and like the first it was amazing! We drew these pictures in a grid. It was a pretty thrifty project. There were some times when the students would think that the pictures were going to turn out horribly but instead of quitting, they continued with their work and the art turned out wonderful.

ART LINK Teen Studio

A new opportunity at the Community Arts Center in Wallingford is designed to bring together teens who are interested in refining their art skills in a fun, explorative, and supportive environment. Students will have the opportunity to experiment with a variety of 2-Dimensional Media of their choice. The class will cover various drawing techniques and materials as well as watercolor, acrylic and collage with the possibility of collaborative art-making. Each week the students will participate in a demonstration of a new medium led by the instructor, but the remaining class time will be student driven, allowing the students to pursue their own personal artistic interests. The blog will be updated by students, each week we will have a different student play photographer and journalist.
