Spring Session! New Students

Today we looked at a still life. In the still life was old shoes, flowers in a case, a pitcher, bananas, apples and oranges in a bowl. You were encouraged to draw whatever you wanted. I drew the old shoes.

Today we finished our collages and for those who were already done, we worked on old drawings or free drawing.

This week in class we used shades to fill in shadows on portraits of ourselves. using different shades of color, we cut out pieces of scrap-booking paper and then glued the scraps together to make the picture complete. We matched the colors shade to the pictures shade and corresponded them so they fit together to finish the picture of ourselves.
